Đây là một phần rất quan trọng và mang tính bắt buộc trong hồ sơ xin tài trợ học bổng. Bởi các học bổng thường ưu tiên trao cho những sinh viên có cam kết, thành tích và mục tiêu cụ thể. Một bức thư giới thiệu xin tài trợ học bổng thường được viết bởi một giáo viên, giáo sư hay cố vấn học tập. Chức năng chính của thư giới thiệu là nhằm chứng thực thông tin đã được cung cấp trong các tài liệu khác như CV, lời tự thuật và nhiều hơn nữa.
Vai trò của thư giới thiệu trong apply du học
Các trường Đại học, Cao đẳng hoặc một số chương trình đào tạo sau Đại học ở nước ngoài thường yêu cầu ứng viên phải có thư giới thiệu.
Ngoài các dữ liệu như GPA, giải thưởng và tài liệu khác, thư giới thiệu cung cấp một lập luận tương đối thuyết phục về thành tích của bạn. Một bức thư tốt có thể giúp bạn tăng khả năng trúng tuyển vào ngôi trường mơ ước của mình.
Việc lựa chọn người viết thư giới thiệu apply du học phải đáp ứng các yêu cầu của trường Đại học/Cao đẳng mà bạn hướng tới. Ví dụ, MIT yêu cầu người viết thư giới thiệu phải là 2 giáo viên, một người dạy nghệ thuật và một người dạy khoa học.

Phần giới thiệu
Đây là đoạn giới thiệu ngắn gọn về ứng viên, nêu rõ học bổng mà nhà tài trợ đang cung cấp. Đồng thời, mở đầu cần đề cập mối quan hệ của tác giả với ứng viên.
Chi tiết về ứng viên sẽ được trình bày trong phần thân bài. Phần giới thiệu chỉ cần dài từ 2 đến 3 câu (tương đương 4-5 dòng).
Phần thân bài
Trong đoạn đầu tiên của bức thư, tác giả cần phải đưa ra các minh chứng cho thấy ứng viên đáp ứng các điều kiện của học bổng. Tác giả có thể sử dụng các minh chứng mang tính định lượng như điểm số và thành tích học tập của ứng viên, khẳng định rằng người đó có năng lực (khoảng 3-5 câu).
Ở đoạn tiếp theo, tác giả có thể sử dụng ví dụ cụ thể để bổ sung cho luận điểm trước đó. Nếu đoạn đầu tiên tác giả nói rằng học sinh đáp ứng các yêu cầu học tập trong một lĩnh vực nghiên cứu cụ thể, thì đoạn thứ hai nên đề cập tới các giải thưởng hay chứng nhận thành tích khác (khoảng 3-5 câu).
Phần kết bài
Thư giới thiệu học bổng nên kết thúc bằng một đoạn nhấn mạnh sự ủng hộ của tác giả đối với ứng viên, cùng với lời mời liên hệ thông qua email hoặc điện thoại (khoảng 2-4 câu).
Tác giả cần phải ký vào bức thư bằng tay để khẳng định xác thực và nhấn mạnh về độ chân thực của lời lẽ trong thư.

Having carefully reviewed Janet’s data based on her NIWC case study, I can affirm that her work is top-notch and is on par with the graduate students in the geography department. Such a claim is no small matter. Mythic University's Geography Department is the highest-ranking geography department in the country based on a recent report by the National Research Council. Therefore, it is important to understand that I am comparing Janet with some of the best graduate students in the discipline.
Finally, Janet has a strong understanding of political theory and strong intellectual facility. She writes well and clearly and will complete her career at Mythic University undoubtedly to much acclaim. She is a rare and gifted scholar and has my strongest support. She really is one in a million.
