Tìm hiểu về giới từ trong tiếng Anh

Giới từ trong tiếng Anh được sử dụng để biểu thị mối quan hệ giữa hai danh từ hoặc cụm danh từ trong câu. Chúng được viết tắt là "Pre" và có vai trò quan trọng trong ngữ pháp tiếng Anh.

Ví dụ:

• Tôi đã đến cửa hàng ngày hôm qua: "I went to the store yesterday."
• Vào buổi tối, trời sẽ ngừng mưa: "By tonight, it should stop raining."
• Với nhiều người, thứ 6 là ngày tuyệt nhất trong tuần: "For many people, Friday is the best day of the week."
• Chúng tôi ngồi trên chiếc ghế dài dưới gốc cây: "We sat on the bench under the tree."
• Sư tử được nhiều người coi là vua của rừng rậm mặc dù thực tế là chúng sống ở thảo nguyên châu Phi: "Lions are considered the kings of the jungle by many despite the fact that they live in the savannas of Africa."

Các loại giới từ tiếng Anh

Trong tiếng Anh, giới từ được chia thành các nhóm sau:

• Giới từ đơn: chỉ có một từ, ví dụ: in, on, at.
• Giới từ đôi: hai từ đơn ghép lại với nhau, ví dụ: into, within.
• Giới từ kép: giới từ ghép thêm a hoặc be ở trước, ví dụ: about, among, beside.
• Giới từ do phân từ: ví dụ: According to, excepting.
• Cụm từ như giới từ: gồm giới từ và loại từ khác, ví dụ: Because of, In the place of.
• Giới từ trá hình: đi theo cụm, thường ẩn trong cụm từ, ví dụ: At 10 o'clock.

Vị trí của giới từ trong câu tiếng Anh

Giới từ trong tiếng Anh có thể đứng ở các vị trí sau trong câu:

• Sau động từ "tobe" và trước danh từ: "The table is next to the bonsai pots."
• Sau động từ thường: "I live in New York."
• Đứng sau danh từ bổ nghĩa cho từ đó: "The show about Asian traditional festival."
• Đứng sau tính từ: "I'm not agree with you because you're not right."
